HHSAA and MaxPreps Agree to a Five-Year Partnership

The Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) and MaxPreps, the online high school sports leader, have announced a five-year partnership agreement that will enable the HHSAA to provide a customized sports information platform for its member schools.

MaxPreps and the HHSAA will offer a publishing platform across desktop, tablet and mobile that will streamline the process of managing sports information from its member schools. The partnership enables all box score information published on MaxPreps.com to be automatically provided to the HHSAA for use in managing various initiatives.

Beginning in the 2017-18 school year, coaches will be required to submit scores to MaxPreps after each game to accurately track regular-season standings and results used for post-season qualifications. Coaches also will be required to submit team rosters and team photos to MaxPreps as part of the partnership. In addition, coaches will be encouraged to submit statistics in order to be included in HHSAA statewide statistical leaderboards, records, various media publications and other initiatives.

“MaxPreps’ goal is to feature sports information from every team, every game and every player in America.  With our new agreement with the HHSAA, we are a step closer to our goal,” said Andy Beal, president and founder of MaxPreps.  “MaxPreps now works in partnership with 24-state high school governing bodies, and with the high quality of high school sports in Hawaii, we are thrilled to be able to share their accomplishments with the entire nation.”

“The HHSAA is excited to partner with MaxPreps, the recognized leader in online high school sports information,” said HHSAA Executive Director Chris Chun. “This partnership will provide our student-athletes added exposure on the national level in addition to the exceptional coverage they are already receiving statewide. Furthermore, MaxPreps will provide our coaches the tools to help promote their teams and student-athletes on a larger platform.”

MaxPreps.com is the nation's most visited site for high school sports coverage.  MaxPreps has been on the prep sports scene since 2002 and has successfully partnered with 23 other high school state associations. MaxPreps.com also is an official partner of the National Federation of State High School Associations.
